New Delhi : Jennifer Mistry, renowned for her portrayal of Roshan Sodhi in the television series 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,' has come forward and accused the show's producer of engaging in sexual harassment. After being associated with the show for 15 years, the actress has made the difficult choice to resign, according to the reports.

In light of the allegations, Jennifer has lodged a formal complaint against Asit Kumarr Modi, the producer, as well as Sohail Ramani, the Project Head, and Jatin Bajaj, the executive producer, for their alleged involvement in sexual misconduct within the workplace.

Modi has faced previous complaints in the past. Notably, actor Shailesh Lodha, known for his portrayal of Mehta ji in the show, had filed a case against him regarding unpaid dues. According to the latest report, Jennifer discontinued her shooting for the show two months ago, with her final shoot taking place on March 7.

Speaking to a media outlet, Mistry expressed her reasons for leaving the set, stating that she endured "humiliation and insults from Mr. Sohil Ramani and the other executive producer, Jatin Bajaj."

Additionally, Jennifer revealed that the producers neglected to provide proper arrangements for her, despite doing so for all the male actors. She expressed her view that the environment on the set is characterized by "male chauvinism."

According to a media report, Jennifer further stated that every individual involved in the production of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' is akin to "bonded labor."
