Veteran Actress Asha Sharma passes away at 88
Mumbai : Famous TV actress Asha Sharma, known for her character in tele shows Kumkum Bhagya and Do Dishayen, passed away on August 25. She was 88 years old. The news of her demise was officially announced via Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA)’s official X handle.
"#cintaa expresses its condolences on the demise of Asha Sharma," the tweet read. However, cause of death is still unknown.
Asha’s illustrious career spanned more than four decades, featuring standout roles in films like Adipurush, where she portrayed Shabari, as well as in popular TV shows such as Nukkad and Buniyaad. Apart from TV and movies, she also appeared in short films like Toffee and The Last Jam Jar.
Asha was widely beloved by audiences for her heartfelt portrayals of mothers and grandmothers in films and TV shows. Among her most acclaimed works are Do Dishayen (1982), Insaaf Kaun Karega, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha and Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, among others.
