15 Indian cities among 20 most polluted in the world. Check list here
New Delhi : In the recently published fifth annual World Air Quality Report 2022, India has been ranked as the world's eighth most polluted country. According to the report, India had an annual average PM2.5 concentration of 53.3 micrograms per cubic meter, which exceeds the World Health Organization's recommended levels by more than 10 times. It must be noted that India has dropped three places in the ranking as compared to the report last year. The report identified Chad, Iraq, Pakistan, Bahrain, and Bangladesh as the top five most polluted countries in 2022.
According to the annual World Air Quality Report published by Swiss air quality technology company IQAir, 15 out of the top 20 most polluted cities in the world are located in India. Check out the list as per ranking below:

With an annual average PM2.5 concentration of 92.6 micrograms per cubic meter, Delhi has been placed as the fourth most polluted city and the second most polluted capital city worldwide. This ranking reflects the concerning levels of air pollution in the city, emphasizing the urgent need for measures to address and improve the air quality situation.
