4 dead, 7 injured as fire breaks out at Maimoon Building in Mumbai

Mumbai : At least four people were killed and seven others were injured after a fire broke out on the third-floor of Maimoon building in Marol in Mumbai in the wee hours of Thursday.

The injured people have been taken to the nearby hospital; however, the cause of fire is still unknown.

The fire in the Maimoon building was reported at 1:30 am. Six fire tenders were rushed to the spot. As per latest inputs from the site, the situation is now under control.

According to a report, three people were stuck on the third floor of the Maimoon building, seven were stuck on the top. The report added that the fire was brought under control after 30 minutes.

This is the second fire incident in Mumbai within one week. 14 people had died in a massive fire that broke out at a building in Kamala Mills Compound in Lower Parel, Central Mumbai.
