Air India schedule ready! Stranded passengers on priority between May 19 to June 2

New Delhi : As India is set to enter into the lockdown 4.0, Air India has planned special flights to move stranded people across the country in its special flights between May 19 and June 2. The flights, according to a TOI report, will connect Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Jaipur etc.

However, Air India is not seeing this as a beginning of the domestic operations. According to the report, senior Air India officials are considering this as part of Air India’s evacuation operations that have been going on.

As mentioned in the report, the sources have claimed that the government has approved to the idea but a final approval from the aviation ministry is still awaited on the matter.

A notification on this will soon be announced and this will not be a free service, all passengers will have to pay for their tickets which can be booked only online.

Interestingly, the development has come on a day when Air India Delhi office was sealed after one of their staffers was found positive to the deadly coronavirus.

Earlier, it was reported that five pilots tested positive. But the second round of tests declared them negative.

The government has already started operating passenger trains and it is likely that the domestic flight operations will be resumed soon.
