New Delhi : 43 people have been killed in a fire incident at Anaz Mandi, with many people still in shock of how the things folded amid screams of many trapped inside a building.

According to the officials, the fire killed at least 43 people and injured more than two dozen in the incident. The fire was triggered by a short circuit on the fourth floor of a plastic factory.

The fire tenders were alerted around 5.30 am by the residents as they rushed for the incident spot.

Nearly 150 rescuers were put in place to pull out 63 people from the building.
