New Delhi : The results for Assembly Elections 2022 in five states have been announced and the results have come out entirely different from expectations on some of the seats. Here are some big politicians who failed to fetch victory on their own seats.

Captain Amarinder Singh

Amarinder Singh had recently parted his way from the Congress party; he was sure to win from his seat but looks like people in Punjab were not convinced with him. He lost his seat to AAP Candidate Ajit Pal Singh Kohli. After losing from his seat, he said, "I accept the verdict of people."

Harish Rawat

Harish Rawat failed to retain his seat in Uttarakhand and he had to taste the defeat from Dr Mohan Singh Bisht of BJP. He also accepted people's mandate and said he feels sorry for not being able to win the trust of people.

Navjot Singh Sidhu

Congress had played a big bet on Navjot Singh Sidhu for Punjab elections, but he failed to live up to expectations as he lost the seat to Jeevan Jyot Kaur of AAP. He said, "Voice of people is voice of god."

Sukhbir Singh Badal

Sukhbir Singh Badal also had to face defeat against AAP's Jagdeep Kamboj.

Charanjit Singh Channi

The Chief Minister of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi lost his seat at Chamkaur Sahib. He was the first Dalit CM of Punjab and the main reason behind the Congress tussle with Captain Amarinder Singh.
