Bengaluru : Gautami, a 17-year-old school girl, was shot dead in her hostel room

School attendant allegedly fired at her and injured another girl

Mahesh K, 38, used 9-mm calibre country pistol

Cops nabbed him on Wednesday afternoon

Reason: Girl had allegedly lodged a complaint against him to the management

Complaint was about inappropriate behaviour

Gautami was staying there to prepare for medical entrance exam

According to police, Mahesh entered the hostel on Tuesday night and fired while the girls were sleeping

Cops have also arrested chairman of the college, Som Singh, under section 188 of the IPC.
