Burari death case: Mass psychotic disorder lead to 11 deaths, says Delhi Police

New Delhi : In a new development to the mysterious death of 11 people of a family in Burari (Burari Death Case), Delhi Police has recovered new handwritten notes which suggest they may have dabbled in occult practices since 2007.

The new notes have been found from a room in the house and are believed to be from 2007 when the head of the family (father) had died. “The entire family was devastated by the death, but his youngest son Lalit Bhatia was the most affected,” an investigator said on condition of anonymity.

The cops may have learned that the family's ritual history, but they have still not figured out the mystery about 11 mass suicide.

The police also had a theory to explain why the main gate of the house was left open by its occupants. “We are working on two theories. Either the family believed that a superpower would enter through the gate and save them the moment they hanged (themselves), or a 12th person was present in the house,” said the investigator officer.
