Buzz! Poll strategist Prashant Kishore may join Congress

New Delhi : One day after poll strategist Prashant Kishore met Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, there is a buzz in the media that he may join Congress soon.

According to speculations made in some media reports, Gandhis and Prashant Kishore may have explored a formal role for him as a poll strategist as it prepares for a big elections ahead.

All three Gandhis were part of the discussions with Prashant Kishor at Rahul Gandhi's residence on Tuesday. It was not the first time, according to sources.

According to sources of NDTV, the meeting was not confined to upcoming Uttar Pradesh polls, instead they planned something big, probably eyeing 2024 General elections.

It must be noted that Prashant Kishore does not have a very good repo with Congress after results of past elections.

In 2017, the Congress tied up with the Samajwadi Party for the Uttar Pradesh election but the alliance failed and the BJP won. Mr Kishor, who shaped the Congress strategy, could only draw consolation from the party's win in Punjab.

Since then, he has often criticized working style of Congress.
