CM Nitish Kumar directs to achieve government job and employment targets under Saat Nishchay-2

Patna : Under the Good Governance Program 2020-25, implemented from December 15, 2020, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had set a target of providing 1 million government jobs and 1 million employment opportunities under Saat Nishchay-2. In this regard, the Chief Minister held a meeting with the Deputy Chief Minister, ministers of the relevant departments, the Chief Secretary, and the Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary/Secretary of the relevant departments. He directed that the remaining job and employment tasks be completed in mission mode within the next year.
So far, 516,000 people have been given government jobs. Additionally, the process for appointing 199,000 government jobs has been completed, with appointment letters to be distributed within the next three months.
Requisitions for 211,000 new appointments have been sent to various commissions. Furthermore, requisitions for 234,000 vacancies will be sent to various commissions within the next month. Additionally, it is estimated that there will be 72,000 more vacancies for recruitment next year, for which requisitions will be sent next year.
It is noteworthy that 516,000 appointments have been made under Saat Nishchay-2. In addition, 199,000 appointment letters are ready for distribution. Moreover, the recruitment process is underway for 517,000 vacancies, meaning (516,000 + 199,000 + 517,000) more than 1.2 million government jobs will be provided by 2024-25. Thus, surpassing the original target of 1 million government jobs set under the Chief Minister's Saat Nishchay-2, more than 1.2 million people will be given government jobs by 2024-25.
A target of 1 million jobs was set under Saat Nishchay-2. So far, more than 2.2 million jobs have been created under Saat Nishchay-2, and over the next year, more than 1.1 million job opportunities will be created.
The Chief Minister has directed the proposal of a strict law to be brought in the upcoming assembly session to ensure full transparency in recruitment exams and prevent any irregularities or question paper leaks.
