New Delhi : Rahul Gandhi has decided to retain Rae Bareli constituency, while Priyanka Gandhi will make her debut in the polls from Wayanad seat.

The decision was made after a meeting was held at a residence of Congress party chief Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence.

The two week deadline to make a choice following the announcement of Lok Sabha Election results was scheduled to end by Tuesday (June 4).

Rahul Gandhi expressed his deep emotional connection with the people of Raebareli and Wayanad, sharing his positive experiences representing Wayanad in Parliament over the past five years. He announced that Priyanka Gandhi will run for election in Wayanad, confidently stating she will win. He also assured that he will remain a frequent visitor to the constituency and that his door will always be open to the people of Wayanad.

She also mentioned her long-standing association with Raebareli and Amethi and affirmed her commitment to continue working there. Priyanka added that she is not nervous about her electoral debut.
