Coronavirus in India: COVID-19 infection cases cross 10,000-mark

New Delhi : The total number of coronavirus cases in India has crossed the 10,000 mark, including 339 deaths across the nation, according to latest data announced by the health ministry.

31 people have died and 1,211 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours alone.

The jump in the number of coronavirus cases comes on the day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the nation over extension of lockdown in India and key changes to restart the economy.

PM Modi is widely expected to announce a roadmap for an extended lockdown to tackle the rise in COVID-19 cases across the country.
