Delhi registers 2,790 new coronavirus cases, active cases over 10,000 mark
New Delhi : Delhi has reported a surge of over 50 per cent in its daily count of new coronavirus cases as it registered 2,790 new Covid-19 cases and nine deaths in the past 24 hours, with this the total number of active cases in the national capital crossed 10,000-mark on Thursday.
As per official data, Delhi has 10,498 active Covid-19 cases.
In its latest Covid-19 bulletin, the Delhi health department said 78,073 people were tested for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, of which 2,790 have tested positive for the viral disease.
So far 6,65,220 have tested positive and 6,42,686 of these cases have also recovered so far.
