Demonetisation: Twitter trolls BJP Delhi for distributing laddoos at every doorstep
Los Angeles : India has been facing its worst fears following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s demonetisation scheme but the act became hilarious on Tuesday after Delhi BJP in its unique initiative started thanking people ‘for their patience’.
Delhi BJP directed its officials to distribute laddoos to every household in the city as a token of appreciation- an act which was called ‘rubbing salts on wounds’ by many on social media sites.
The act was even criticised by people for giving only one laddoo-per-household. The newly appointed Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari also confirmed the decision.
He said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched this revolutionary step to tackle black money. Despite facing some inconvenience, people supported the move. Now, it is our turn to thank them and show our appreciation and respect for their patience.”
While some trolled the government, a group started a hilarious discussion, thanking demonetisation.
