New Delhi : The winters have struck badly in the North India, amid all this heavy fog has been gripping the northern side of the nation, resulting in low visibility as low as zero metres at several places. The minimum temperature in Delhi has been recorded at 3 degrees Celsius and reduced visibility at prime locations including ITO, Barapullah and Dhaula Kuan.

The visuals have been shared by news agency Ani on social media Twitter.

According to the Indian Metrological Department, Uttar Pradesh's Agra and Lucknow and Punjab's Bathinda have recorded zero metre visibility at several locations while visibility stood at 25 metres in Amritsar, Ambala, Varanasi and Bhagalpur.

Amit dense fog, the flights are also being diverted. Around 15 flights have been delayed. An Air India Express flight from Sharjah to Delhi has been diverted to Jaipur instead of IGI International Airport due to low visibility.

Not just flights, but trains are also running late across the northern Indian region. Due to fog and reduce the visibility, 29 trains are running late in the Northern Railway region.

The government has also opened shelter homes for homeless people, while others have been seen lighting bonfire to get some relief from the chilling weather.
