Eman Ahmed leaves for Dubai, sister says 'Thank You India'
Mumbai : Eman Ahmed, who was known as the world's heaviest woman, has left for Dubai for her further weight loss treatment. She has been discharged from the Saifee hospital in Mumbai on Thursday.
Her sister, who had recently locked horns with Ahmed's doctor, expressed gratitude to the hospital staff and doctors by saying 'Thank You'.
"I am thankful to India and the doctors in India for helping my sister," Shaima Ahmed told a news agency ANI.
Shaima had earlier accused surgeon Dr Muffazal Lakdawala of not carrying the treatment properly, alleging heavy dose of medecines leading to ill effects on "brain activity".
Dr. Lakdawala who heads the team of doctors treating Eman refuted the charges.
On April 21, 36-year-old Egyptian Eman Ahmed, who was the heaviest woman in the world at 500-plus kg, had lost 250kg in two months after undergoing surgery here at Saifee Hospital.
