Fourteen children suffer electric shock in Kota during Mahashivratri procession

Kota : A shocking news came from Rajasthan on Friday, where 14 children suffered electric shock during a Mahashivratri procession. Two of them are in a critical situation and have been admitted to the hospital.

Some visuals were shared on social media after the incident, where children were seen rushing towards the emergency room for treatment in a hospital.

Health Minister Heeralal Nagar said that it is a very sad incident to see children getting electrocuted during a celebration. A special team has been formed to provide all possible treatment to those who are affected. He has also directed authorities to check and investigate if there was any negligence due to which this incident has happened.

According to media reports, a high tension overhead power line is suspected to the cause of this electric shock incident.

The two children who are highly affected have suffered 50% and 100% burns respectively. While rest of the suffered have less than 50% of burns.
