Goa cops beat motorist with stick for stepping out during Janta Curfew
Panaji : India observed Janta Curfew on Sunday (March 22) on the directions of PM Modi, who had requested the state authorities to ensure its success in order to break the chain of spreading coronavirus in the nation.
While Janta curfew stands for a voluntary decision of citizens to stay at home, it looks like the state authorities have gone a step ahead and brutal to keep the citizens inside their homes.
A video has been shared by the Aam Aadmi Party Goa official handle showing two policemen stopping a man on the scooter and then smashing him with the stick for allegedly stepping out from his home.
"Certainly @PMOIndia did not intend that this should happen on #JantaCurfewMarch22," the account captioned the video.
