India records highest single day spike in five months

New Delhi : In the second wave of coronavirus, India has recorded 53,476 new infections in the last 24 hours, highest in a day in last five months. According to data updated on Health Ministry website on Thursday, India recorded 251 deaths in the last 24 hours.

It also reported that around 26,490 people recovered from the coronavirus in same duration.

Total cases: 1,17,87,534

Total recoveries: 1,12,31,650

Active cases: 3,95,192

Death toll: 1,60,692

Total vaccination: 5,31,45,709
