New Delhi : When the holy Ramzan days are going on, a warning signal of terror strike seems to be creating tension across the nation. With a group of Pakistan-trained terrorists having newly penetrated into J&K, central intelligence agencies have declared an alert asking security installations including Army and paramilitary camps as well as police lines to increase round-the-clock surveillance for the next 2-3 days.

The central intelligence agencies mentioned that the armed terrorists, believed to have divided into smaller groups after crossing over and have moved into different directions, may carry out attacks on VIP colonies, minority pickets, police establishments, camps of central armed police forces like CRPF and BSF and Army installations. The terror attack alert has been issued not only for J&K but also the national capital, Delhi.

Intelligence sources said Saturday being the 17th day of Ramzan is also the anniversary of Battle of Badr, termed the most important among Islamic battles of destiny. It was fought between the Muslims, led by the Prophet, and Quraish of Mecca. It has special significance for jihad and agencies suspect that terrorists were informed to strike on the anniversary, this year.

Following the alert of terror attack, security in important areas has tightened up. It is advisable to stay calm and inform police department in case of any suspect or doubtful activities taking place around.
