Jamia Millia Islamia, Jasola Vihar metro stations to remain closed: DMRC

New Delhi : In wake of possibility of violent protests near the Jamia Millia Islamia University on Friday, the DMRC has issued an advisory that the two metro stations Jamia Millia and Jasola Vihar will stay shut for operations till further notice.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) tweeted, “Security Update - Entry & exit gates of Jamia Millia Islamia and Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh are closed. Trains will not be halting at these stations. Normal service in all other stations.”

On Thursday, entry and exit of multiple metro stations were closed as precautionary measures after reports of violent protest across the national capital against the Amendment of Citizenship Bill.

DMRC later informed that the gates have been opened.
