New Delhi : HRDS INDIA hosted the " Veer Savarkar International Impact Awards 2025"  at the NDMC Convention Centre, New Delhi, with Honourable Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, attending as the chief dignitary. The ceremony convened national leaders, international delegates, and distinguished achievers to honour individuals whose work reflects the courage, reformist spirit, and nation-building ethos championed by Swatantryaveer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.

Distinguished attendees included Swami Atma Nambi Ji, President of HRDS INDIA; Dr. S. Krishna Kumar, Former Union Minister and Chairman of HRDS INDIA; Mr. K. G. Venugopal, Vice President of HRDS INDIA; and Shri Aji Krishnan, Founder Secretary of HRDS INDIA.

Speaking at the ceremony, Shri Manoj Sinha said, “I congratulate all the recipients of the Veer Savarkar International Impact Awards. Veer Savarkar was a revolutionary and visionary whose dedication to the nation continues to inspire us. As we work to strengthen society, I am pleased to share that in the first phase of our efforts with HRDS INDIA, 1,500 new modern homes are being built in Jammu & Kashmir. This initiative will improve countless lives and provide families with social security, enabling every member of society to move forward with self-reliance, honesty, and justice.”

The welcome address was delivered by Swami Atma Nambi Ji, who outlined the organisation’s mission and the values that guide the Veer Savarkar International Impact Awards. He said, “We are honoured to have the Honorable Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, grace the Veer Savarkar International Impact Award. His presence underscores the national relevance of this platform and strengthens the vision of HRDS India to drive social development, empower marginalized communities, and advance meaningful nation-building initiatives.”

Dr. S. Krishna Kumar, Former Union Minister and Chairman of HRDS INDIA, said, “HRDS has evolved from a modest grassroots initiative into a nationwide movement for comprehensive tribal welfare. Under the vision and leadership of Shri Aji Krishnan and the guidance of Atma Nambi Ji, the organisation is now preparing to deliver one million homes for tribal communities. We are honoured by the presence of the Honorable Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha, whose support reinforces our mission to drive transformative and sustainable development across India.”

The ceremony also featured an audio-visual tribute to Veer Savarkar and a classical Nritham performance by Ms. Vaishnavi PJ, disciple of Padmashree V. Jayarama Rao.

Veer Savarkar International Impact Award 2025 – Awardees

HRDS INDIA presented the awards to distinguished individuals for their contributions across governance, social reform, global humanitarianism, culture, and innovation.

1. Karuna Gopal – President, Foundation for Futuristic Cities

An internationally acclaimed thought leader and futurist, Ms. Gopal is recognised for her pioneering work in Technology, Innovation, Urban Development, and Public Policy. Her initiatives—such as Sculpt Your City—were adopted as National Best Practices in India’s Smart Cities Mission. She serves as BJP’s National In-Charge for Women Policies & Research, Independent Director at Engineers India Ltd., and Advisor to IIT Kanpur’s Centre for Excellence in AI.

2. Dr. Bu Abdullah – Philanthropist, UAE

A globally respected entrepreneur and humanitarian, Dr. Abdullah’s philanthropic work has earned accolades from Guinness World Records and the World Book of Records (UK). He was honoured with the Global Business Entrepreneur Award at the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Awards by the Governor of Maharashtra.

3. Acharya K. R. Manoj – Arsha Vidya Samajam

A spiritual guide and social reformer, Acharya Manoj has dedicated decades to promoting value-based education, moral clarity, and harmonious community living. His teachings, meditation guidance, and youth empowerment initiatives have transformed countless lives.

4. Dr. Diana Suter – Social Worker, Switzerland

Renowned for her humanitarian commitment, Dr. Suter has contributed significantly to rehabilitation, social welfare, and international cooperation. Her work with vulnerable communities reflects deep compassion and professional excellence.

5. Kamy (Kamlawatee) Netram – USA

Ms. Netram is a business professional with leadership roles in community-oriented enterprises in the United States. Known for her organisational skills and commitment to service, she has supported initiatives in construction, community development, and grassroots empowerment.

6. Mrs. Priyanka Singh – Dublin, Ireland

A distinguished community leader and educator, Mrs. Singh has contributed to special-needs education, youth mentorship, multicultural initiatives, and technology-enabled learning across Ireland, Belgium, and the EU. Her work reflects strong values of inclusivity and holistic development.

7. M. Jayachandran – Music Composer

A leading figure in contemporary Malayalam music, M. Jayachandran is celebrated for his award-winning compositions and playback singing. His contributions enrich Indian film music and represent a legacy of artistic excellence.

8. Mitsuaki Nishihara – Director, M.H.I Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan

Mr. Nishihara leads a global portfolio spanning incineration systems, power generation, water treatment, agriculture, biomass fuels, and advanced manufacturing. His strategic leadership and commitment to innovation have expanded the company’s impact across sectors and geographies.

Founded in 1995, HRDS INDIA continues to advance its mission through large-scale initiatives in tribal housing, rural development, skill training, women’s empowerment, health access, environmental conservation, and education. Its programmes span Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Assam, Jharkhand, and Tripura, delivering sustainable, community-centred development.

The event concluded with Sudarsanam: Bharatam, a documentary dance-drama performed by women rehabilitated through the Sudarsanam De-Radicalization Programme of Arsha Vidya Samajam. Now serving as full-time Pracharikas, their performance portrayed a journey from ideological vulnerability to transformation and purposeful social service.
