LK Advani to be next President? Sources say PM Modi adamant on choice

Los Angeles : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to make veteran BJP leader LK Advani as the next President of India, sources told Hindi news channel Zeenews on Wednesday.

According to initial reports, Advani’s name for the Presidential post was proposed by none other than PM Modi.

Sources also pointed that PM Modi put forward Advani's name during a meeting in Gujarat's Somnath.

It is claimed that PM Modi was heard saying that President post will be a 'guru dakshina' for BJP veteran LK Advani.

It is also said that the meeting was attended by BJP bigwigs Amit Shah, Keshubhai Patel and LK Advani.

BJP has been doing exceptionally well across the country and with the recent win in Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, it is expected that the party will get the next President of India of its choice.

After Modi became PM he was always at loggerheads with Advani following differences in opinion. The Presidential elections will be held in July this year.
