mAadhaar registration: UIDAI suggests a fix for OTP issues
New Delhi : The UIDAI or Unique Identification Authority of India has recently launched an application called mAadhaar that allows people to ditch physical Aadhaar Card at a safe location.
mAadhaar application stores all demographic details of the Aadhaar card holder and can be used as identity proof at several places like train travel.
Users can simply download the application and avail the benefits of paper less digital India. Post app installation, users will be required to set a password and then enter their details of simply scan the bar code on Aadhaar Card.
To verify the mobile number, the app sends an OTP via SMS to the linked phone number. The OTP is entered automatically in the interface, and you cannot type it in.
Many users have registered the complaint that the application is not reading their OTP, barring them from completing the registration process.
The UIDAI has suggested simple steps to cure the problem:
Go to the settings
Go to permissions control
Go to Apps
Go to mAadhaar app
Allow the read SMS option
