Watch: Major fire near Bandra Railway station in Mumbai, local train line shut

Mumbai : A major fire broke out near Bandra Railway station in Mumbai on Thursday afternoon; as a precautionary measure, the local trains line has been suspended to ensure safety of people.
Initial reports suggest that the fire broke out in a slum area in Behrampada of Bandra East. Nearly 16 firetrucks were rushed to the spot with atleast 10 water tanks soon after the fire department received information at around 3:20 pm.
A heavy black smoke was witnessed in the area. Train services between Bandra and Andheri on the Harbour Line were not available due to the massive blaze.
No reports of injury have come so far.
“We have stopped Harbour line up and down services from 4.25 pm as a precautionary measure owing to fire near the Bandra station on the east side,” the chief PRO of the Central Railway said.

As per visuals in the video and pictures, a part of foot over bridge can be seen engulfed in the fire. Residents of slums can be spotted rushing towards open area with their belongings to escape the massive fire around them.
