Morbi bridge collapse: Over 140 killed, more than 100 injured in the accident
New Delhi : Over 140 people have been killed in the Morbi suspension bridge collapse incident in Gujarat. More than 100 people have been reportedly injured in the incident. The search and rescue operation is currently on.
According to a media report, the suspension bridge over Machchu river was opened for public on October 26, without taking a fitness certificate from the authorities.
It has also been notified that over 170 people have been rescued from the site.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also offered his condolence to the family of those who lost their lives in the accident.

According to reports, the river is about 11 to 15 feet deep below the village.
