New Delhi : Enforcement Directorate has again summoned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for today in National Herald case. He was questioned for hours on Monday by the agency.

On Monday, during the questioning, he was given a lunch break and was also allowed to go and meet his mother Sonia Gandhi, who is admitted in a hospital. Later he returned to the ED office and was again questioned till late night.

According to reports, the agency has once again summoned him for Tuesday to ask few more questions related to the National Herald case.

On Monday, Rahul Gandhi appeared before ED with his sister Priyanka Gandhi. He was given 80-minute break in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, nearly 500 Congress workers and leaders have been detained by the police who carried out protest march during Rahul Gandhi's appearance before ED. They have been charged for disturbing law and order situation in the national capital.

Top Congress leaders detained on Monday during the party’s protest in solidarity with Rahul Gandhi, who was grilled by the ED in a money-laundering probe linked to the National Herald newspaper, were released from various police stations after almost 11 hours.

The MPs who were detained for over 11 hours include Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, K C Venugopal, Randeep Surjewala and Harish Rawat.
