New Delhi : Two days after resigning from his post and one day after CM Channi asked Navjot Singh Sidhu to sit and talk the issues, the latter came to meet the former today. Some of the reports suggest that he is likely to stay the Punjab Congress chief till elections next year.

Navjot Singh Sidhu came to Chandigarh from Patiala one day after CM Channi asked him to resolve the issues via talks.

A lot of questions were being raised on Congress after former CM Amarinder Singh resigned and then newly elected Punjab Congress Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu also resigned from his post.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Channi had said, “I have spoken to Sidhu sahab over telephone today. The party is supreme and the government accepts the party’s ideology and follows that. (I told him that) You come, sit and talk”.

“If you (Sidhu) feel there is anything wrong, you can point it out,” he had said.

Talking about Sidhu's response, Channi had said that he has accepted the offer to sit and talk. He has said that the place and time of meeting will be decided later.
