Nearly half India do not want NDA in 2019: Survey

New Delhi : The road is getting tough for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government as according to a survey 47 percent of the people have said that they do not want NDA to return to power in 2019.

The ABP-CSDS Mood Of The Nation survey has shown a worrisome trend for the BJP - there are more people who believe that the Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) does not merit a second chance to form the government post-2019 Lok Sabha elections than those who think it does.

A total of 15,859 people took part in the survey.

“About three-fourths of Muslims, three-fifths of Christians and well over half the Sikhs indicated that they do not wish to see the Modi government coming back to power next year,” the survey stated.

“Out of all Hindu communities, Dalits and Adivasis — who have also been victims of violence and atrocities — were found to be most vociferous in their opposition to the government at 55% and 43% respectively. Dominant OBC communities are also quite opposed (42%) to the present government,” the survey found.

Interesting fact about the survey remains that a similar prediction it had given way back in 2013 for UPA and results were nowhere near to it.
