NIA fails ISIS attack in plan over India, arrests 13 sympathisers

  • Bengaluru : In a major breakthrough in keeping up the safety, NIA on Friday arrested 13 Islamic State sympathisers planning attacks on several parts of India.

  • Home Ministry said, “out of 14 suspects detained on Friday 13 have been arrested and are under police custody.”

  • Search operation was conducted at 12 places in six cities to nab down the suspects.

  • Circuits for detonating explosives were recovered during the searches.

  • Apart from that, mobile phones, laptops, unaccounted cash, jihadi literature and videos and certain material for preparation of bombs were also recovered from the locations.
