New Delhi : The oath-taking ceremony of new Rajasthan Cabinet Ministers is scheduled for today (Sunday) at the Governor’s house at 4 pm, said a report.

This comes after three cabinet ministers - Govind Singh Dotasra, Raghu Sharma and Harish Chaudhary – had written to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi about their desire to quit from their respective posts.

Mr Dotasra, president of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), speaking to ANI today informed that he has resigned from his ministerial post citing the 'Ek Pad Ek Vyakti' discipline of Congress.

"Keeping the 'Ek Pad Ek Vyakti' discipline of the Congress party, we have given our resignations to party president Sonia Gandhi. I will work as a party worker to see that the people in Rajasthan are getting the benefits of the state government's schemes," he said.

From a long time, there have been demands for the expansion of Rajasthan Cabinet, especially since differences between CM Ashok Gehlot and Congress leader Sachin Pilot came to light.

A total of 15 ministers - 11 cabinet ministers and four ministers of state – will sworn in on Sunday as Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot will reshuffle his cabinet after the Congress sought to ease tension between the senior leaders of the party.

The Rajasthan Cabinet will have a total of 12 new faces, including five ministers from the Sachin Pilot side. Congress leader Sachin Pilot's "loyalists" MLAs Hemaram Choudhary, Vishvendra Singh, Murari Lal Meena, Ramesh Meena and Brijendra Ola, will be part of the cabinet of Ashok Gehlot after the reshuffle.
