Odisha shocker: After Kathua and Surat, Now 4-year-old girl raped, private parts mutilated

Bhubaneswar : A four-year-old girl was raped by a youth in Odisha's Balasore district, police said on Sunday. The accused, 24-year-old Nityacharan Jena, is the neighbour of the girl, the police said.

On Friday, when the girl was playing outside, he lured her to his house with chocolates and raped her, according to police. The girl has been hospitalised. Her family lodged a police complaint on Saturday. 

According to reports, the incident occurred at Hata Sahi under Nilagiri police limits on April 13. The minor girl was allegedly raped and subjected to torture by her tormentor who was her neighbour.

Jiban allegedly raped the girl in his home and mutilated her private parts. The victim told everything about the incident to her mother. After her condition deteriorated, the family rushed her to Nilagiri hospital for treatment.

The matter came to the fore after family members of the victim lodged an FIR at the Nilgiri police station this morning.
