'One Nation, One Election': Most parties are in favour, says Rajnath Singh
New Delhi : Most parties gave their support to 'one nation, one election', CPI(M) and CPI had a difference of opinion but they didn’t oppose the idea, just the implementation of it,” said the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh after all-party meet concluded.
BJD chief Naveen Patnaik affirmed the idea and said, “Our party is supporting the idea of One Nation, One Election.”

Narendra Modi government-led heads of different parties met to discuss their opinions on One Nation, One Election. While some of the party patriarchs like Mamata Banerjee skipped the meeting.
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam President M K Stalin, Bahujan Samajwadi Party chief Mayawati and her former ally Samajwadi Party were among the other leaders who opted to skip the meeting.
For Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal sent Raghav Chaddha as his replacement to the party.
