Petrol, diesel prices change marginally on global trends

New Delhi : Marginal changes have been made in the prices of petrol and diesels on Monday, new rates will be applicable from midnight tonight. 

Petrol price has been hiked by 13 paise per litre and diesel price has been slashed by 12 paisa in line with global trends. 

The new prices have been announced by Indian Oil Corp (IOC), the nation's biggest fuel retailer, excluding state levies (VAT). 

"The current level of international product prices of petrol and diesel and Rupee-US Dollar exchange rate warrant increase in selling price of petrol and decrease in selling prices of diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision," IOC said in a statement. 

Earlier, fuel prices were revised on November 16.
