PM Narendra Modi address over lockdown extension on Tuesday at 10 am: Report

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the nation on Tuesday morning to speak over the further plans on coronavirus lockdown and precautions, said an NDTV report.

It is likely that that the lockdown will be extended by two weeks amid unanimous call from the states on doing so for the safety of people. But, he is likely to announce some relaxations for certain sectors to restart the economy.

During his recent video conference meeting with 13 Chief Ministers on Saturday, PM Modi had agreed that a longer lockdown was necessary to fight the highly contagious COVID-19, but had talked about saving livelihoods as well as lives.
