PM Narendra Modi breaks down into tears as he bids farewell to Ghulam Nabi Azad
New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday broke down into tears while speaking in the Parliament to bid farewell to a rival politician Ghulam Nabi Azad.
He was all praise for the politician and remembered one of the episodes from the time when they both were Chief Ministers of Gujarat and J&K respectively.
PM Modi gave a reference to 2007 terror attacks when Gujarati tourists were trapped in Jammu and Kashmir by some of the terrorists.
"Ghulam Nabi Azad’s call that day was not just to pass information; his tears were not stopping when he spoke to me about the incident. When he called me from the airport, he spoke to me like a person speaks in concern for his family member.
Politics, positions may come and go, but he knew how to make it worth," said PM Modi.
BJP shared a clip of his speech in the parliament on social media Twitter. Watch below:
"His dedication towards the nation and want to do something for it will not let him stop even after he officially being a politician," PM Narendra Modi added.
