Bangalore : Days after a suspended BJP leader made controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad, anger sparked among his followers across the nation. While the international community also criticized the remarks, the people in Bengal have gone a step further; they have been protesting and damaging public property in the state.

Angry with the behaviour, CM Mamata Banerjee has cleared that such protests will not be tolerated; those who want to protest against the remarks must go to Delhi to show their anger. She claimed that the incident did not happen in Bengal so why such protests are being carried here.

She also claimed that if anyone had done such a thing in her state, she would had initiated immediate action against the person. And she would not tolerate people of Bengal suffer for an incident which has not happened under her leadership.

Mamata Banerjee said, 1000 of vehicles have been seen stranded in scorching heat, ambulances were stuck on roads due to the protests. Who will take the responsibility if something happens to them? She urged people to protest amid peace and not block roads.
