New Delhi : A day before the commencement of Rajasthan's Assembly Session and after a month long bitterness, CM Ashok Gehlot and his former deputy Sachin Pilot chose to put rivalry aside and flashed victory signs to their supporters and media.

The meeting between the two leaders was held at the CM's residence and lasted for around half an hour. During the meeting, senior Congress leaders like KC Venugopal, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Ajay Maken, Avinash Pande and PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra were also present.

In the photos and videos shared later from the meeting, Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot can be seen shaking hands with each other.

Addressing the CLP meeting at his residence, Ashok Gehlot claimed that they would have proven majority in the Rajasthan Assembly even without the rebel MLAs but that would have been a devoid of happiness and peace. "Apne toh apne hote hain," he told the gathering that included Pilot and his group of 18 legislators, who had rebelled last month.

However, Sachin Pilot assured the members present in the meeting that each and every one will follow the directives given by chief Sonia Gandhi.
