Rahul Gandhi claims PM Modi refused to fight against Coronavirus pandemic

New Delhi : India has crossed 5-lakh mark of coronavirus cases and Congress is now tightening their attack on BJP-led Central Government for not being able to contain the virus despite three-month long lockdown.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi charged Prime Minister Narendra Modi for surrendering before coronavirus and leaving India in god's hand.

"Covid-19 is spreading rapidly into new parts of the country. The Government Of India has no plan to defeat it," Rahul Gandhi tweeted.

Targeting Prime Minister Modi, he said, "PM is silent. He has surrendered and is refusing to fight the pandemic."

Rahul Gandhi presented news reports claiming that the Union overnment had “retreated” as no meeting of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) or the Group of Ministers had taken place and neither had the Health Ministry held its briefings on the pandemic.

He also tagged PM as "Surrender Modi", a day after he attacked him of failing to stop China's incursion. A day after the All Party Meeting where the Prime Minister had said "no Indian territory had been occupied by anyone" on June 20, Rahul Gandhi tweeted: "PM has surrendered Indian territory to Chinese aggression. If the land was Chinese: 1. Why were our soldiers killed? 2. Where were they killed?"
