Raped for 51 days by three youths, 16-year-old girl escapes in Noida

Noida : A 16-year-old girl managed to save her life and escape from an undisclosed location in Noida.  She was raped by three youths, two of her neighbours, for 51 days.

The survivors family alleged that the police first refused to file a complaint but later registered an FIR in connection with the matter.

After being held captive for the 51 days, the reached her home on April 22, her family took note of her suffering and reached Phase III police station to file a complaint. However, the police turned them down and instead asked them to sign a paper. After no probe was initiated in the incident, the girl’s father wrote to Gautam Budh Nagar SP (crime) on April 30.

The victim's father, who works in a factory, lodged a complaint against two of the accused namely Chotu and Suraj.

In the complaint, the family of the survivor have mentioned that “they kidnapped the girl and kept her confined in a room, where she was raped between March 2 and April 22. They had even threatened to kill her if she tried to flee. In their absence, the girl would be assaulted by Aditya, a resident of Sector 135 who would be present in the room. Aditya belongs to Banda district.”

The police have now registered a case under the various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) namely 376 d (gangrape), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 3/4 of the POCSO Act.
