Republic Day 2020: ITBP jawans unfurl tricolor in bone-chilling minus 20 degrees

Ladakh : India is celebrating its 71st Republic Day on Sunday. The celebrations across the nation bring the best out of every citizen.
In Ladakh, the ITBP jawans celebrated the Republic Day by unfurling the Indian flag in bone-chilling minus 20 degrees.
News agency ANI, shared the video in which the jawans can be seen unfurling the national flag in Ladakh. The ITBP jawas, who are commonly known as 'Himveers', can be seen chanting 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram in the video.

The jawans were well placed at the height of 17000 ft.

In Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the special parade at the Rajpath in New Delhi, the parade gave a tribute to India, its unity in diversity and rich cultural heritage.
