Rule of lies has come to an end: Amit Shah on Delhi election results

New Delhi : With initial results showing massive comeback of Bharatiya Janata Party and its victory in the recently concluded Delhi elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the rule of lies has finally ended in the national capital.
"PM Modi in the heart of Delhi. The people of Delhi have worked to make Delhi Aapda-free by destroying the 'Sheeshmahal' of lies, deceit and corruption. Delhi has taught such a lesson to those who break promises that it will set an example for those who make false promises to the public across the country," said Amit Shah.
At the time when this story was written, BJP was leading on 48 seats out of 70. The massive setback came for Arvind Kejriwal who faced defeat on New Delhi seat to former two-time BJP MP Parvesh Verma. He finished around 1,200 votes behind his rival, with the Congress' Sandeep Dikshit third. Kejriwal had held the New Delhi seat since 2013.
In a news of relief for Aam Aadmi Party, Chief Minister Atishi won against BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri.
