Shopian Encounter: Four more terrorists killed, total 9 in 24 hours

Shopian : Four terrorists have been killed in an encounter with Security Forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district on Monday.

The security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Pinjora area of the district in South Kashmir this morning after receiving information about the presence of terrorists there, a police official said.

He mentioned that the planned operation turned into an encounter after terrorists open fired on the police personnel. In the exchange of fire, four terrorists were killed.

The identity of the slain terrorists will not be revealed under the government policy to prevent youngsters from joining terrorist ranks.

This was the second encounter in Shopian district in last 24 hours.
