New Delhi : A murder of 26-year-old Shradha has left Delhi in complete shock after the news came to light that her live-in partner chopped her body into 35 pieces and disposed it off to different locations in the national capital. The murder accused has been identified as Aftab Amin Poonawalla; it has been learned that he had googled ways to clean blood and read about human anatomy after murder.

According to Delhi Police, Aftab had murdered his live-in partner Shradha on May 18 and then read about human monotony to chop off her body and dispose the body parts at different locations. The police have also seized all his electronic gadgets for further investigation in the matter.

28-year-old Aftab has been arrested after a complaint raised by Shradha's father. Aftab has been sent to judicial custody for five days.

According to reports, they had met on a dating site and then they started living-in together at a rented accommodation in Chhatarpur. Delhi police received a complaint from Shraddha’s father and registered an FIR on November 10.

Aftab allegedly chopped her body into 35 pieces, purchased a 300-litre refrigerator and kept them into it. He then started disposing them off at different locations in the national capital.

In September, Shraddha’s friend informed her family that there was no contact with Shradhha for the last two and a half months and her mobile number was also switched off. Her family also checked her social media accounts and found no updates during this period. In November, Shraddha’s father Vikash Madan Walker, a resident of Palghar (Maharashtra), approached Mumbai police and lodged a missing person’s complaint.

Aftab was then questioned by the police and later he confessed to the crime.
