Hyderabad : The state government is likely to lift lockdown from most parts on June 20. Only those places will be kept under restriction where coronavirus is still not under control. The government is also discussing proposal for a short night curfew between 9pm to 7am.

The ongoing lockdown from 6 pm to 6 am will end on June 19.

According to a news report, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is in favour of lifting the lockdown as coronavirus is now under control in most parts of the state.

The health department is learnt to have submitted a report to the CM stating that the restrictions since mid-April have helped contain the spread of the Coronavirus.

With less than 1,500 daily coronavirus cases, positivity rate in many districts has come down to zero per cent.

The health department is believed to have submitted its report to the CM which does not suggested an extension in lockdown, however mentioned that strict measures should be implemented to ensure people adhere to coronavirus guidelines like wearing masks in public places.

Amid all this an official call to lift the lockdown will be taken by the CM on June 20.
