Uber India hikes fares to help drivers amid rising fuel prices
New Delhi : Fuel prices are running at high all across the nation due to various reasons and the impact was being faced by the pre-paid taxi operators. Addressing the issue, Uber India has increased their ride fares to help the drivers cope up with the fuel inflation.
According to reports, the company has also added destination feature for drivers by which they can see the destination of the passenger before confirming a ride.
To make drivers financially rich, the company has also decided to transfer the earnings to the drivers' account on the same day.
Meanwhile, cancellation of rides remains the big issue that is yet to be resolved. There are complaints that the drivers intentionally cancel the trip once they get to know about the destination and sometimes mode of payment.
The CCPA grilled cab aggregators over their algorithms related to ride cancellations and surge pricing and directed them to be more vigilant regarding their customers.
