New Delhi : Bharatiya Janata Party has won the Uttar Pradesh elections 2022 with a grand number, making history for the party and CM Yogi Adityanath who will be the first BJP CM of UP for two consecutive terms.

Elections are not won in a day, the victory is a result of a series of incidences that work in your favour. Here is a list of events that worked for the BJP to clinch the Uttar Pradesh Elections 2022.

Ram Mandir

The day BJP government announced the construction of Ram Temple, they had set the path for their victory in the assembly elections. The inauguration of Kashi Vishwanath corridor added to their success.

Operation Ganga

Russia's invasion of Ukraine came at the right time for BJP and PM Modi's quick action strategy via 'Operation Ganga' to rescue stranded Indians in the war-struck nation won many hearts. And to make sure people get to know more about the evacuation drive, Operation Ganga was deliberately mentioned in public rallies several times by the BJP leaders.

Defence development in Aligarh

A defence corridor is to be made in Aligarh and PM Narendra Modi rightly capitalized on it. He once gave a reference of locks made in Aligarh and then paralleled it with the safety of nation; he had said, "So far Aligarh locks have been securing the houses in India and now Aligarh is ready to safeguard India with Defence corridor."

Free schemes

There is a tradition in India to give freebies just ahead of elections; BJP tried to play on it but with a different strategy. The party came up with schemes at regular intervals. Some of the famous schemes launched by Central government include free ration scheme, free laptops to students and dedicated schemes for poor segment of people in the state.

According to a report, one-fourth of the total vote bank in Uttar Pradesh was provided with free ration during pandemic.
