Bribe case: Delhi Police arrests AIADMK's TTV Dinakaran
New Delhi : AIADMK deputy chief TTV Dinakaran has been arrested by Delhi Police on Tuesday midnight over after four days of questioning in the national capital. He is accused of attempting to bribe the Election Commission officers to get two leaf symbol, frozen by the poll panel after some dispute.
Dinakaran's friend Mallikarjuna has also been arrested for allegedly providing shelter to him.
Mr Dinakaran had confessed to meeting Sukesh Chandrasekar, the middleman who was earlier arrested in the case, NDTV quotes police official in its report.
The AIADMK leader has been maintaining that he has not given any kind of bribe, denying all allegation against him.
Earlier on Tuesday, a Delhi court had asked the police why it has not taken any action against Mr Dinakaran, nephew of jailed AIADMK chief VK Sasikala, over bribery allegations.
