For Rahul Gandhi, over 1 million Twitter followers add up within 2 months

New Delhi : Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is making a mark on social media as he has added over 1 million followers to his Twitter account within last two months, said a media report.

The continuous engagement of the Congress leader on social media has been cited as one of the prime reasons behind sudden spike in the number of followers.

According to Congress sources, Rahul's followers stood at around 24.93 lakh in July 2017 and have risen to 34 lakh by September 17.

The report mentioned an unsaid rule in the party which asks all its members to get their twitter accounts verified by Twitter and mandatory follow Congress official page with Rahul Gandhi's official page.

Congress vice president's two-week long US visit also added fruits to the number as the party claimed to be a very successful event.
